Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for building and managing a highly talented inside sales team focused on creating new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a technology sales management background that enables them to lead a team of inside sales representatives. This is a full-time position based out of Higher Logic’s Mesa, AZ office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with new employee onboarding and continual training of the inside sales team
  • Build a solid inside sales/lead generation team that exceeds sales goals
  • Ensure the sales pipelines remains full with qualified leads and prospects
  • Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach goals
  • Oversee inside sales tracking for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
  • Schedule and facilitate weekly team meetings; ensuring all appropriate updates, training initiative, and process changes are shared
  • Innovate sales tactics to drive growth

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of technology related sales or business development experience
  • 3+ years of sales management experience working for a software vendor
  • Undergraduate degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading a team of sellers focusing on commercial accounts
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Maintains a positive, optimistic and professional attitude at all times
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
