Rob Wenger, Higher Logic CEO

Rob Wenger, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Rob is a successful entrepreneur and business executive with an outstanding 19-year track record in building, growing and leading high-tech companies. As the CEO of Higher Logic, his clients’ success is always top of mind. He works to positively impact each of Higher Logic’s clients using smart, collaborative technology.

Prior to Higher Logic, Rob co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer for two technology firms, Active Matter, a web design and development firm that exclusively focused on the not-for-profit market and WaveFront Consulting, an information technology consulting firm.

Each firm quickly grew to profitability which led to each being acquired, WaveFront in 1998 and Active Matter in 2003. Following the acquisition of his companies, Rob held executive roles at First Consulting Group, Inc. (Stock:FCGI) and Advanced Solutions International (ASI).

While at ASI, Rob served as the Principal Product Architect and designed the next generation of their popular association management software named iMIS. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a Certificate in Franchise Management from Georgetown University.

Andy Steggles, Higher Logic President and Co-Founder

Andy Steggles, President & Co-Founder

Andy is a frequent thought leader and keynote speaker at conferences and events, traveling the globe to educate professionals about the importance of collaborative software, the cloud and the impact technology makes on the community it serves. At Higher Logic, his guidance helps clients experience these profound impacts.

Prior to co-founding Higher Logic, Andy owned and built a profitable software business whose primary focus was on member-to-member collaboration technologies. It was this software, when combined with complementary software which his business partner, Rob Wenger had built, became the heart of the Higher Logic platform.

Before starting his software company, Andy spent ten years serving as the Chief Information Officer at the Risk & Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) where he headed their technology and social strategy initiatives. From 1986–1996, Andy served in the Royal Navy, which allowed him to travel internationally around most of the world including the Arctic and Antarctic. He returned from a three-year tour in Hong Kong to study Computing in Business at Brunel University in London.

Mark Lowry, Higher Logic CRO

Mark Lowry, Chief Revenue Officer

Mark is the Chief Revenue Officer for Higher Logic and oversees sales, partnerships and contracts. During his time as CRO, Higher Logic has been ranked on the INC 500 Fastest Growing Companies list each year, voted among the 50 greatest places to work in the Washingtonian, and has helped Higher Logic grow from a few employees to over 50. Before taking on his current role in the organization, Mark served as Higher Logic's EVP of Sales and Marketing from 2008 to 2012, a period when Higher Logic grew a minimum of 40% per year. Among his many accomplishments, Mark has been pivotal in establishing partnerships with leading industry providers and has helped thousands of organizations grow their membership and increase revenues. He also trains other companies in sales best practices.

Prior to joining Higher Logic, Mark worked for a couple of leading AMS/CRM companies. He has been featured in the Associations Now and regularly speaks at industry events and conferences. Mark graduated from Virginia Tech where he earned dual bachelor's degrees.

Vince Zumbo, Higher Logic CFO

Vince Zumbo, Chief Financial Officer

Vince brings over 30 years of financial management experience in the private equity backed high technology industry. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all aspects of financial leadership to further enable the continued impressive growth Higher Logic has experienced. A results driven senior financial executive, Vince has a proven track record of value creation in rapid growth financial and operations management. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and international operations.

Most recently, Vince was Chief Financial Officer of Autotask, Inc., a SaaS based global provider of management software for managed service providers acquired by Vista Equity Partners. Prior to Autotask, Vince was CFO of Hatteras Networks, (merged with Overture Networks); ServiceBench, (acquired by NEW); and Formtek, (acquired by Lockheed Martin).

Vince has a Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College, Loudonville New York.

Ann Burns, Higher Logic CHRO

Ann Burns, Chief Human Resource Officer

Ann has a superior track record of establishing, scaling, and leading top-performing global human resources strategies, plans, and operations that align with business objectives. With a focus on hiring and retaining top talent, she elevates employee engagement, enriches company culture, and champions diversity by launching innovative HR programs and building highly insightful, talented teams. As Higher Logic’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Ann and her team focus on high-growth and scalability as business imperatives to integrate optimal people, processes, and systems for operational excellence. She is responsible for building on Higher Logic’s dynamic culture to ensure employee growth, motivation, and engagement in line with business results.

Most recently, Ann was the Vice President of Human Resources at Tenable Network Security, where she devised and executed the global human resources strategy to enable aggressive business growth for the fast-paced SaaS company in 20 countries with over 850 employees. Prior to Tenable Network Security, Ann was the Vice President, Human Resources for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

Ann has a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development and Strategic Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Towson University.

Ben Goodkind, Higher Logic CIO

Ben Goodkind, Chief Information Officer

As CIO, Ben is responsible for Higher Logic's infrastructure and managing customer facing technical teams.  He also works closely with the product team on features and implementation.  Ben's career has been focused on delivering high profile, strategic software solutions to commercial and non-profit organizations.

Prior to Higher Logic, Ben was the Vice President of Strategic Applications for a Hong Kong based, multi-national company included in the Hang Seng Index and held leadership positions in both large and small consulting companies. Ben’s experience includes developing custom software applications, software products and managing large ERP implementations. Ben holds a computer science degree from Brown University.

Conor Sibley, Higher Logic CIO

Conor Sibley, Chief Technology Officer

Conor has been designing and implementing business enabling technology since the late 90's. His in-depth knowledge comes from his experience as a software executive, acting as an advisor to successful technology businesses, contracting with the military and intelligence community and investing in startups.

Conor puts his knowledge to work at Higher Logic, where he leads the development and delivery of internet scale solutions with clients’ needs in mind.

In the past he served as a Network Security Engineer with BBN Technologies, the organization that architected the Internet and first e-mail technologies. Conor graduated with a B.S. from the University of Virginia in Computer Engineering and he received his MBA from University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business.

Hunter Montgomery, Higher Logic CMO

Hunter Montgomery, Chief Marketing Officer

Hunter is a highly accomplished global marketing executive with over 20 years of experience in the management and leadership of marketing and business operations. Currently, Hunter is responsible for overall marketing strategy and provides direction in positioning and messaging, demand generation, branding, public relations and customer engagement to ultimately help clients connect with Higher Logic’s intuitive software platform.

Prior to Higher Logic Hunter was the Vice President of Marketing at Vocus, Inc. where he was responsible for planning and budgeting, sales and marketing alignment, analytics and reporting, data governance and strategy, marketing systems, and campaign marketing.  Prior to that role, Hunter was responsible for all demand generation and ecommerce programs at Vocus.

Hunter has spent a majority of his career in the high-tech industry where he has successfully lead marketing efforts through start-up, survival, turnaround and growth modes. Hunter graduated from Colgate University where he earned a BA in History and earned a MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Ed English, Higher Logic CPO

Ed English, Chief Product Officer

For the past fifteen years, Ed has led product teams that brought new concepts to market and created software used by hundreds of millions of users. As Higher Logic’s Chief Product Officer Ed and his team are responsible for product management, user experience and design, and data analytics.

Ed’s prior experience includes executive roles with early and mid-stage technology companies, including Datamythic (a data science firm), APX (enterprise software) and netVmg (network routing software). In addition, Ed was the Director of Product Management for SharePoint at Microsoft, during which time it generated tremendous growth in revenue and users and established itself as the global leader in market share, product usage, and customer satisfaction. Early in his career Ed worked as a strategy consultant with Deloitte.

Ed has a MBA from Indiana University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science/Operations Research from Virginia Tech.

Heather McNair, Higher Logic VP of Engagement Strategy

Heather McNair, Vice President of Engagement Strategy

Heather is a well-regarded thought leader with 20 years of marketing, technology, customer acquisition and retention experience, 16 of those years in the association and publishing industries. She is adept at leveraging technology to increase customer engagement, and is a frequent speaker and writer in the industry. At Higher Logic, Heather is responsible for defining and refining effective engagement strategies and best practice recommendations as it directly relates to the member and customer experience.

Prior to joining Higher Logic, Heather launched and managed two successful communities in her roles as vice president of marketing, membership and strategic technologies at the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination, and senior manager of member engagement at the Medical Group Management Association. MGMA’s community launched in 2008 at the early onset of online communities for the association space, and many techniques Heather founded from that launch emerged as foundational best practices for Higher Logic clients today.

Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Fresno.
