- Top Member Benefits: Members said their number one member benefit is email digests or email newsletters, followed by member discounts. Private online communities and virtual education were tied for third.
- The Importance of Personalization: 71% of members agreed that a personalized member experience is important to them (and the report explores how they describe personalization).
- Seeking Feedback: 52% of members said they wish their association asked for their input more – a significant increase from only 29% last year.
- Communication Preferences: While email is still the preferred method of communication for most members, the percentage of responding association members who said they receive “too many emails” increased from 34% in 2023 to 50% in 2024
- Membership Retention Insights: Members who are considering leaving their association cite not feeling engaged or not getting value as the main reasons.
