Deliverability Manners With Amanda – Unsub Confirmations

To send an unsub confirmation, or not to send an unsub confirmation – that is the question.

Transcript:

To send an unsubscribe confirmation or to not send an unsubscribe confirmation…it’s a tricky question. After all, Elsa may have said, “Let it go” but she also sang an entire song about it.

On the one hand, a confirmation email may anger someone who literally just told you to stop sending them email. But if you have an issue where your members are getting unsubscribed by others after they forward the email, or you have a new preference management system, it might help you.

So this one really comes down to knowing your audience. And making sure once you sing that song, you truly “Let it go.”

That’s all for today – join us next week for another episode of Deliverability Manners with Amanda. Something you want to see covered? Let me know in the comments below – but be sure to type with your pinkies up!
